About Us
Brandt’s Landing Marina is a private gated marina owned and operated by the Brandt family
since the early 1970’s. The manmade inland marina was dug out by LD McIntyre with a permit
issued in 1963 and was subsequently purchased by Hal and Lois Brandt.
Brandt’s Landing Marina is located adjacent to the Port of Orcas’ Eastsound Airport and is
approximately one mile from the Town of Eastsound. Brandt’s Landing is the only marina
located on the Northshore of Orcas Island that offers year round protected moorage. The
marina is the northernmost marina in the San Juan Islands and offers a convenient starting
point for access to many Washington State Island Parks and the Canadian Gulf Islands. Sucia
Island State Park is a short boat ride directly north of the marina!
Brandt’s Landing Marina provides long term and short term moorage, limited transient moorage,
boat launch, trailer parking, boat on trailer parking and vehicle parking. The private marina has
limited amenities and does not sell fuel or groceries, and does not offer sewage pump out
services or garbage dumping. There are no public restrooms, showers or laundry. There are
commercial operators leasing space in the marina who offer whale watching boat tours, fishing
charters, water taxi service and kayak rentals.
The manmade marina entrance channel has silted in over the years and access to and from the
marina is tide dependent. (Approx. 2’ depth at 0’ tide) All boaters must register with the
marina Harbormaster before entering the marina waterway.
